How do you survive the winter without festivals?
Remember the day that you and all your friends were dancing in the sun together at Dance Valley? Seems like a lifetime ago, doesn’t it? Summer is over, the days are short and it’s cold outside. How do you deal with the winter season as a festival lover? Are you a sleeper, clubber, traveler or planner?
- The sleeper
In summer, you see the sleeper every week. It seems as if the sleeper is dancing his butt off at almost every festival that takes place. However, the sleeper seems to disappear completely after the last summer festival of the season. The sleeper doesn’t understand why you would even leave your bed when it’s cold outside. When you see the sleeper (who is completely recharged) at the first summer festival of the season again, you almost forgot he existed in the first place.
- The clubber
Festival season over? The clubber will find other ways to keep on partying. Indoor winter festivals and nightclubs might not have sunshine but the clubber doesn’t mind. As long as his friends and amazing artists are there to dance and play, the clubber will never stop. Some of his friends might wonder how the clubber pulls it off. The answer is simple; the clubber is a pro. He parties 365 days a year. Cold or no cold.
- The traveler
Who says you have to be in The Netherlands for a nice summer festival? The traveler is addicted to dancing in the sun and decided to just avoid winter completely. By traveling to the other side of the world to places where the sun always shines, the traveler visits international summer festivals all year long. When he returns, its like winter never even happened.
- The planner
The minute the last summer festival of the season ends, the planner starts planning his next summer. The planner always gets his early birds on time and by December he already know exactly what his next summer will look like. Yes, the planner can be annoying and a bit bossy, by forcing to you plan ahead with him, leaving no room for spontaneity. But the planner is also the social glue between you and your friends and makes sure you’ll be on time with buying the tickets of your favorite festivals before they sell out. Such as Dance Valley, obviously.
